About Me

First climbed Helvellyn when I was about 12, in the pouring October rain!  Lost my sandwiches to a Helvellyn sheep!! 

Rediscovered the mountains in recent years, having now climbed the majority of the Lake District mountains (with the exception of the western most fells), and several in North Wales also.  Interests include mountain walking of course, and photography.  I aim to complete all of the major summits in the Lake District and North Wales, then move further afield.

Favourite climb: Blencathra - just loved the climb up Hall\'s Fell and the view, superb.
Least favourite climb: High Seat - way too boring, too much peat for my liking! The aborted Bowfell climb with site creator John (abandoned due to snow, lightning and gales) was more fun than this!
